You just have to learn how to be digitally responsible !
The CNIL (the French Data Protection Authority), the CSA (the High Audio-Visual Council), the Defender of Rights and the Hadopi (the High Authority for the dissemination of works and the protection of the rights on the Internet) have been working for several years to raise public awareness of the issues that the Internet poses to our everyday lives. These three authorities decided to work together to create a digital citizen’s kit to address questions about online rights, online privacy, respect for creativity, and the responsible and civic use of screens. This practical kit offers parents and all educational actors materials to support young people in their digital use. We invite you to take a look at their digital education activities and resources!

Holy Owly for School & Bordas: an Awesome App to Teach & Learn English on Primary Schools
The Holy Owly - Bordas partnership is the result of a collaboration between a young digital start-up which has become an expert of learning English for children from 3 to 12 and an innovative educational publishing house.
After three years of research and development, Holy Owly has developed a revolutionary pedagogical method which, combined with the skills and the knowledge of the educational market of Bordas publishing house, offers a ready-to-use resource for primary school teachers.
Holy Owly for School is an intuitive application that provides immediate autonomy for both teachers and students, through quickly deployed English micro-sessions with confidence, perfect pronunciation and sentence structure.
Holy Owly for School is also:
-5 minutes of training per day to improve English pronunciation.
-Individual work on a tablet or collective work via video projection.
-Easy oral practice for pupils through a voice recognition system.
-A dashboard for teachers to track the progress of their pupils.
-Pedagogical content adapted for a progressive and structured school project.
-Teaching guides and toolkits to extend learning through songs and games.
We shall look at several examples of activity sheets from the various teacher's guides and thus show how the weekly objectives for each level match the content of the app.We shall also come up with possible manipulations around the English grammar and vocabulary that can be done with the class as a whole. To go even further, games or playroles shall also be suggested so as to strengthen the learning skills of the children.
Holy Owly for School can be used on an Apple or Android tablet and can also be projected onto an interactive board through an Apple TV or Google Chromecast.
Our application is available on Apple and Google play store. It requires the following minimum settings: IOS 12.4.8 on Apple and Android 9 on Android.

How can you help your students gain confidence through better written and oral expression?
Mastering your own language is an asset that accompanies us throughout life. Make oneself understood, convince, make oneself accepted, reassure, make oneself like, make laugh: so many things pass through our words. Being fluent in writing and speaking is empowering. Not being makes him vulnerable. It is a lever for living well together and therefore a condition for being able to exercise one's citizenship fully.
How can we help pupils to acquire the vocabulary necessary to broaden the scope of their thought? How to support them in the structuring of their remarks? How to give them confidence to be able to speak freely in front of an audience, whether in the school world but also in personal or professional life? So many questions that you can legitimately ask yourself.
Knowing how to structure your thinking and express it clearly is a pillar of academic success and social and then professional integration. The Voltaire Project supports you and your students on the subject with a digital training tool that continuously adapts to their level and pace of learning, which allows for extremely sharp differentiation and which makes it possible to work with everyone. , whatever his personal situation (learning difficulty, difficulty concentrating, handicap) leaving no one behind.24 November 2021 14h00 to 15h00 SALLE DE CONFÉRENCE 3 EXHIBITOR CONFERENCES

For an information ecology: the commitment of fact-checkers, researchers and education actors
The issues raised by disinformation continue to gain importance in the public debate. After having been mainly focused on national political events such as the American presidential elections or the Brexit vote, they now increasingly focus on public health and scientific issues that concern the whole world, as we have seen in the face to the Covid-19 crisis and environmental issues. One of the characteristics of these phenomena, which are real challenges for our democracies, is their multidimensional and protean aspect. This inventory leads to the implementation of coordinated and independent responses based on the actions of the various actors involved in these subjects. The De Facto project, which benefits from the support of the European Commission, is part of this dynamic. Placed under the coordination of Sciences Po's Medialab in partnership with AFP and CLEMI (the Center for Media and Information Education), this project aims to be part of a reflection on the new challenges of information and these circuits, by participating in the creation at European level of a community of researchers, fact-checkers and media education professionals to share their knowledge, analyzes and good practices and thus contribute to a information ecology.Conference Moderator:

Speaking English confidently, a challenge for learners: what pedagogy and tools can help us teach spoken skills easily?
Spoken skills are spooky. Boo! 👻
Many English learners are afraid to speak in front of their peers because they are self-conscious about their accent. Fluency is difficult to learn, but also to teach within a traditional classroom environment, especially when dealing with large groups of students. Because of this, spoken skills are often neglected in comparison to vocabulary and grammar. The future of learners is at stake! 🔥
The thing is, being able to speak English fluently is one of the most valuable skills an individual can have when they enter the job market: 81% of the companies surveyed by IPSOS in France in 2020 plan to recruit employees with a bilingual English proficiency in the coming years*.… and their enjoyment, too!
Who doesn’t wish they could enjoy their favorite series in English, NO subtitles? 😎This raises the question:
Which digital tools and pedagogy can we leverage to bring pronunciation and spoken skills to the forefront of the English class?
Technology represents a huge untapped potential when it comes to spoken skills. Apps and voice technology can complement the expertise of teachers (without replacing them) and help personalise learning to each students’ needs. To achieve the best results, however, it must be integrated in the classroom in a thoughtful way.
How can we make sure a tool adds value to our course, and assess its outcomes?
In this talk, Zoé Broisson, linguist and CEO of the EdTech startup and university spin-off « FLOWCHASE », introduces practical solutions (with lesson plans) and discusses the potential of a « flipped classroom » approach to make spoken English more fun and efficient to learn and teach.
*1 in 4 French people have already had to give up a job or a promotion because of an insufficient level of spoken English. — (IPSOS, 2020 - https://www.ipsos.com/fr-fr/25-des-francais-ont-deja-du-renoncer-un-emploi-cause-dun-niveau-danglais....

Co-construction and collective intelligence for the implementation of the national TNE project
"The Educational Digital Territories project proposes to respond to the imperatives of educational continuity, to reduce the digital bill and to innovate and transform The 4th Future Investments Program (PIA4) supports the transformation of the digital education system to promote improvement and revitalize and structure the digital-education sector. As part of the “Education and Digital” acceleration strategy, “Digital Educational Territories” (TNE) are being deployed, in conjunction with the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports (MENJS), the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Recovery (MEFR) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAA). This involves working on the conditions for pedagogical continuity and the transformation of teaching practices by acting simultaneously on four levers: 1.Computer equipment for teachers 2.Teacher training, 3.Support for parents, 4.The provision of digital resources and solutions, This project was first deployed in two pilot departments in 2020 (Aisne and Val d'Oise). It is extended to ten others (Bouches-du-Rhône, Cher, Corse-du-Sud, Doubs, Finistère, Guadeloupe, Hérault, Isère, Vienne, Vosges) in 2021/2022. These are all the partners who work to think up and implement an ambitious project taking into account all the pillars of education with the pupil, the teacher, the parent, the trainer, the researcher, the framework of the 'National education, the elected representative, the associative fabric and the member of an Edtech. What regional strategies can local authorities adopt to reinforce language learning?
Did you know that almost half of students at the end of the Third Cycle in French schools have difficulty understanding English? And that this number rises to 73% for Spanish and 63% for German? Such situations can have lifelong repercussions, as evidenced by the fact that today less than 5% of French people are fluent in English.
Proficiency in foreign and regional languages has multiple benefits. Not just the obvious ones, like employability and professional mobility, but also advantages in increased cognitive abilities, being open to others, and heightened cultural tolerance.
So a key question how to reverse the situation so as to achieve the French Education Ministry's objective of having all high school students reach an advanced intermediate (B2) level of English by the end of their final year. Which educational resources and pedagogical approaches have proved effective? And how are government institutions - starting with local authorities and the decentralised branches of the Ministry - tackling this challenge?
This talk, which will include contributions by key local authorities, language teachers and school administrators, as well as EdTech experts, will put forward possible answers and outline issues for further thought and discussion.

Young generations and digital skills: What are the challenges for education?
While young people are immersed in technology like no other generation before, many are unaware of how it works, the opportunities it can offer and the new skills it requires.
What are these much talked about “jobs of the future” created by digital technology? What developments for our most traditional professions? How to prepare each student for this future? We will try to answer these questions in this round table, which will welcome:

The safest wireless technology for our children
We are all rapidly moving to a much more digital world. A world without internet, online tools and communication is hard to imagine. This revolution is also coming back in education. It is very important that our children are getting used to the online and digital tools. But not only that, it opens up a world of knowledge and learning possibilities, difficult to realize offline.
Education Tech has become a fast growing industry over the last years. Schools need to decide on how they want to fit the digital education in their schools and system. Which tools, which software but of course also the infrastructure is important.
Up till now schools depended on either using cabling or Wi-Fi to link all these tools to the infrastructure. Cabling is always difficult, maybe just connecting one teacher is possible. But can you imagine 30 kids in a classroom with wires running throughout?
Wi-Fi is from a practical standpoint a much more attractive technology but is based on radio technology. Not everybody is comfortable with radio waves. France is one of the countries taking this a step further. When not in use, the guideline is to switch of Wi-Fi.
But what if part of the class wants to be online, or just a handful of children working on a project need access to Wikipedia?
Although from a technology perspective not new, wireless communication using light waves, has been taken a big leap forwards. The technology, for which LiFi is coined in 2011, has been out growing from research centers, building proto types and writing whitepapers. Although we cannot call it mainstream yet, the ability to use LiFi technology in real life is absolutely possible. Certified products are on the market place, applications have been tested and industrialization is done.
LiFi technology is in our believe perfect for the earlier mentioned challenges in a school. How can we provide a reliable, secure and safe infrastructure to provide internet access.
LiFi as explained, uses light waves to communicate. In most cases this is infrared and therefore invisible light. These low power LED’s are completely safe for the users, and allow the fast internet access often needed for education applications. Compliance with the regulation, without having to switch on and off the technology. Children but also teachers can be linked without cabling.
Additional benefit of the technology is the extreme stability of the signal, and as we can define accurately the coverage zone, we can avoid people outside the building to connect and potentially steel or modify data.
The technology is ready, the products are available, several schools throughout Europe have been used to test, and now we can roll out. Let us make sure that our children will be connected using the safest wireless technology.

Artificial intelligence: what uses for inclusive schools?
The progress of artificial intelligence opens new potentialities in favor of a truly inclusive school, which ensures the development of each student's capacities, in particular in terms of personalization of teaching, adaptation of the environment, as well as in the understanding of certain situations of disability.
The conference-debate will provide an opportunity to take stock of the current uses of AI in the service of inclusive schooling and to present perspectives on the potential and promise of AI in this area :
○ How can AI be useful to teachers in contributing to the inclusion and success of all students?○ Beyond theoretical promises, what lessons can be learnt from concrete experiments underway or already conducted?
○ How can AI be put to work for teachers and how can they be mobilized to leverage AI for the benefit of inclusive schools?
○ Is it time to design and deploy devices on a large scale?
To answer these questions, #Leplusimportant brings together 6 experts and field players from the educational ecosystem:· Nicolas Roussel, Director of the Inria center at the University of Bordeaux, INRIA
· Eric Bruillard, Teacher-researcher, Université Paris Descartes USPC
· Déborah Elalouf-Lewiner, President Tralalère
· Audran Le Baron, Director of Digital Education (DNE), French Ministry of Education
· Muriel Puig, Primary ULIS teacher, Académie de Créteil
· Alexandre Tobaty, Inspector of 1st grade, in charge of the Digital mission in Seine Saint-Denis, Académie de Créteil
This conference-debate will be moderated by Sonia Ouadda, director of "the digital and education division" and Florian Forestier, director of studies at #Leplusimportant, in person and remotely via live webinar, with the possibility for viewers to interact with the speakers and ask them questions, via the moderators.

Google Workspace: powerful and intuitive tools for students who are involved in their learning and the development of their professional skills
The pandemic has taught us this: teaching will never be the same! Teaching can no longer be limited to the classroom, to class hours, to the subjects taught. It must be more than ever the development of students who are actors of their learning, capable of using digital tools to learn and train, to cultivate themselves and to rise as lucid and responsible citizens.
Google Workspace tools have the ability to develop initiatives, to empower students, to allow them to cooperate and learn together. Simple, intuitive, professional, fundamentally and ideologically collaborative, come and discover their educational potential thanks to the practical workshops set up by the students of Saint Joseph's College (Le Mans).Conference Moderator:
